Vlogging is more entertaining than blogging! Now I am a Youtuber...

Vlogging is more entertaining than blogging – I changed my scene… Yup! What I mean is that I usually wrote a lot before but now I can’t hold back anymore. I needed to talk and walk at the same time and record it. A lot of my blog posts are now actually video vlogs instead. As I think video makes more of a presence and feels better to interact with my viewers.

What platform should I use? Youtube or Facebook…

I started to use youtube some years back on my company channel youtube.com/macgeni and after some time I started my own private channel and removed irrelevant videos and just started uploading vlog videos. My goal is to make more videos with inspirational content or just my advise.

Why should I be interesting in a video?

I thought about this a lot as I feel I am a private person. But as I follow others like Peter McKinnon, Cody Wanner and Casey Neistat I started to feel that it doesn’t matter who you are. If I can inspire just 1 person – that will make me very satisfied. And I also have a lot of knowhow because of my interest for photography and video in my company barnerdesign.com I knew my interest will fuel my passion for creative creation.

I find that everyone is interesting if you find the time for them to find that something in them or their passion! I really enjoy people talt about their passions – and I love talking about my own and giving out good advice.

With that in mind I am not worried and after filming for a year though only releasing about 5-6 videos.

Editing videos – just takes a lot of time!

Perfectionists are impossible – and I am one… It just takes time to cut, edit, soundedit and color correct and much much more… Wow! I knew this before but now it seems I have just gotten better at making videos but that also takes me more time. I recommend keeping a schedule of when to upload. But I don’t have a lot of subscribers just yet. Maybe it will never happen – but I guess I am fine with it. As long as one person or more feels inspired.

What language should I speak!?

Yes I am a dane and I speak Danish as all other Danes in Denmark. But I can see on my MacGeni Channel on youtube that my English videos perform way better and the respons is just awesome. We as Danes do not ‘like’ things that much on social media it seems. We are not a very outgoing people – we tend to think “don’t think you are better than me!” which is a typical feeling many Danes will have. And I don’t care for it… So: I decided to speak English in my videos and yes that also makes me edit more video where I cut out all the mistakes haha!

Where you can see my video logs (vlogs)?

It would make me so happy to hear what you think of my videos? What type of content is entertaining you? Do you have favourite youtubers you would recommend? Please comment here on my blog or on one of my videos.

Can’t wait to hear what you like…?

You have to make sure you deactivate Adult filter to see this video. It might be loading the main site of dailymotion but if you come back and try to replay it again, it should work.

Violence, art, sex, fun, weird, oldschool, grafitti, street art, death, war, dance, color, food, freaks and beautiful fucked up things.

Some years ago a website called Black Guido was an crazy artsy site and I was amazed and kind of frightened in a wonderful way – it’s like driving by a freeway accident and you can’t help slowing down to look. The feeling where you walk by a ground floor apartment and you can’t help looking through the windows. It’s a mere primitive reaction and that’s the main reason why I re-post these images – they need to be re-seen 🙂 Enjoy… and remember it’s your own responsibility to stop now if you don’t want to get offended…

14 huge trends that are changing the face of design and advertising

29 Apr

Brands can use the ‘sharded self’ trend positivelyThanks to the internet, everyone has a voice. But it’s not always the nicest voice: “There are a lot of trolls out there,” pointed out Walker. One trend seen in the work submitted to this year’s D&AD Awards is that brands are starting to reformulate the negativity into a positive message. A standout project mentioned by both The Future Laboratory and the White Pencil panel was This Is Wholesome by Honey Maid, a traditional American snack brand that wanted to reposition itself as progressive.Last year, Honey Maid launched a bold campaign featuring divorced, interracial and same-sex families. It brought the company a lot of attention – not all of it good. So this year, the brand responded to its trolls with another ad juxtaposing the hate with the love.It took the negative tweets, printed them and made an instalation that spelled ‘love’, which it surrounded with positive tweets [above]. “If you want to be relevant, you have to be able to exist in the world that’s happening around you,” said Google Creative Lab executive creative director Steve Vranakis, who was on the White Pencil jury.

I wanted to share them with you as inspiration for you design enthusiast out there 🙂
